Once you join the Y-Princess or Y-Guides Program with your child, there are a few things you’ll need to do to get yourself up to speed. The first thing is to find a leather vest for you and your kids. The other is to start planning for a craft project when you host an event. Read on for some online stores.

CowCatcher Leatherworks (Raleigh, NC)
- They only have the light (or “sand” colored) vests.
- Prices are a bit lower than standing Bears at $21-30 for child sizes and $43+ for adult sizes
- They also have a full array of beads, trinlkets and other items to put on your vests
Tandy Leather Factory (Ft. Worth, TX)
- They only have the light (or “sand” colored) vests.
- Prices are $25-$30 for child sizes and $44-$55 for adult sizes
- They also have a full array of beads, trinlkets and other items to put on your vests
Grey Owl Crafts (Eatontown, NJ)
- They have darker and colored vest kits for $30+
- They are also a source for Native American Craft Supplies
- A site to create and order vest patches
This is an initial list of stores. Several of these stores offer bulk discounts, so it may be worthwhile to take advantage of this if there are a lot of new members in your tribe.
