Individual Gingerbread Houses

Make individual-sized gingerbread houses using graham crackers during the holidays.  It is a fun and delicious tradition for both kids and adults.

Supplies

  • Graham Crackers
  • Cement Icing (egg whites, water, cream of tartar, powdered sugar)
  • Assorted candies and cereals
  • Pint sized milk or cream carton, clean and dry

Directions

Make cement icing by beating together until foamy: 2 egg whites, 2 teaspoons water, and 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar. Gradually add 3 cups sifted powdered sugar, and beat until stiff. Use at once by dividing into zip-top baggies, one for each child (or adult) to use.

Use the milk carton on a paper plate as the foundation and cement graham cracker pieces around it to form the house. Cement two additional pieces together to form the roof. Use the icing to add the candies and cereal to decorate the house.
