Banana Nut Bread Recipe

Banana bread has always been one of my favorite breakfast treats, or after school, or…well you get the idea.  As it turns out, my mother in law makes banana bread to die for.  If you’re looking for moist banana bread, this is the banana bread recipe for you.

Banana Nut Bread Recipe

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Yield: 6-8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Oil (canola)
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • ½ Cup Chopped Nuts (walnuts work well)
  • 1 T Sour Cream
  • 1 t Baking Soda
  • 3-4 Bananas Cut
  • 2 Cups Flour

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, blend the sugar and oil until well blended. Add the eggs and nuts, and continue blending until mixed in.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream and baking soda. Add this to the large mixing bowl, and continue blending until mixed in.
  4. Add the bananas and flour, and blend until well mixed. Pour the mixture into greased loaf pans and bake for 35-40 minutes until a knife comes out clean.

Tips

You can line the pans with wax paper, instead of greasing, and pour the mixture on top of this. The bread will come out easily.
