This Apple and Bleu Cheese Salad is an easy to make salad that nicely complements any meal for lunch or dinner.  And if you don’t like the cheese, then substitute.

Apple and Blue Cheese Tossed Salad

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 6-8 Servings

  • ¼ C red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 C canola oil
  • 1 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ t salt
  • ½ t oregano
  • 2 T sugar
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 Apple Chopped
  • ¼ Cup Crumbled Bleu Cheese
  • Lettuce of Choice

  1. Mix all the ingredients (except apples, cheese, and lettuce) until well mixed.
  2. When you're ready to serve, mix in enough to lightly coat the lettuce and mix in the apples and cheese.

This is asy to make ahead of time. For my salad I love using Butter Lettuce and goat cheese.

You can personalize it by adding sliced mushrooms, 2 T. lemon juice, or chopped nuts; or you can substitute torn red leaf lettuce/spinach or cranberries.
