Baked Salmon with Pesto

In order to keep a healthy heart, we’re told to eat fish twice a week, but the challenge is finding a a good way to prepare it; and not dry it out.  This baked pesto salmon recipe is quick, especially if you use pre-made pesto sauce; and it’s moist.  I never thought it would happen, but my kids like eating salmon now when topped with pesto.


Baked Salmon with Pesto

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 14 minutes

Yield: 2 Servings


  • ½ lb. Salmon Fillet
  • ¼ Cup Pesto Sauce (Pre-made, or you can refer to our Pesto Sauce Recipe)


  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Liberally coat the salmon with the pesto sauce.
  3. Place on a baking tray, and into the oven for 12-15 minutes (depending on thickness).
  4. Remove from oven, cover with foil, and let rest for 10 minutes before serving
